Lačnovský canyon is suitable even for families with kids, there are just a few but small ladders with no danger at all. A visit is interesting in any season, but perhaps summer and winter months are among those most popular.
However, in fall the trees are nicely coloured, as well as in spring.

What else to visit around Lačnovský canyon
There are many things to do and visit around the canyon, the most closer is a cave called Jaskyňa zlá diera, which can be accessed with a lamp on your head and a special cloth that you get on your visit. Unlike other common caves in Slovakia, this one is unique and is made in more adventurous form.
The canyon is surrounded by several mountain ranges such as Branisko, with the highest mountain known as Smrekovica (1,200m), or Bachureň mountain range with Bachureň mountain (1,081m). Here you can continue further with more hiking adventures if you wish.
If you are more looking for some cultural places, UNESCO Spiš castle is not far which is one of the largest castle complexes in the world. UNESCO town of Levoča, Spišské Podhradie town City of Prešov, Stará Ľubovňa castle and open-air museum with folk architecture is also at a close distance.
